Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebration: Saturday 4th June 2022
SAVE THE DATE: Davenham Parish Council & Davenham Royal British Legion Social club invite all residents to save the date and join us in celebrating Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee on Saturday 4th June 2022 at Butchers Stile (3pm - 10pm).
This event is an opportunity for the whole village to come together to celebrate 70 years of her Majesty's reign. There will be live music throughout the day, refreshments, bar and artisan stalls to name a few with more details toe be announced soon.
The planning is well underway and an application to the National Lottery has been accepted for a grant of £8300 towards the cost of holding this event. We are very grateful to all National Lottery players for their support. This grant means that, along with entrance fees, stall fees and other donations, we will be able to hold the event with no cost from public funds. The grant will cover the cost of hiring the stage, marquees, toilets and technical support, all of which are the most significant cost in hosting this event.
There will also be a raffle on the day; we really appreciate the support from all the wonderful businesses who have kindly supported us.
More information and details will be shared as they are arranged but we look forward to seeing you for a fun filled day of celebrations and bringing the community together again.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support us with raffle donations - our latest being Experience Days (https://www.experiencedays.co.uk/charity-scheme); we are vey grateful for their kind donation.
